Special Education

This story is not unique to me. I am the father of a Special Education student, and, like many parents, my wife and I have struggled through meetings and programs trying to find the best educational path for our son. Our struggles have been with little support from the district, even when we have asked for that help. I have spoken to many district families with children in special education programs. These problems are real and result from the corruption of prior school district administrations and the strangling of public-school funding at the State level.

Visual and Performing Arts

Growing up in the Scottsdale School District, I was surrounded by opportunities to expand my education through multiple visual and performing arts programs.  For many students, arts programs are an avenue to express themselves in ways that are not open to them in other ways.

I am LGBTQIA+ friendly candidate for the Scottsdale School Board. LGBTQIA+ kids deserve to feel safe and supported in their schools. I will be active in supporting LGBTQIA+ students, parents, teachers, staff members, and the larger LGBTQIA+ community if elected to the Scottsdale School Board. (Read More)
